ROSE MARIE SCOTT
Rose passed away peacefully on August 18, 2022 at Misericordia Place. She is now going on long walks, perhaps amidst the pack of beloved pet dogs of her life.
Rose's life was marked by kindness, grace, compassion and her unique sense of humour. She was very social, enjoying having friends for dinners at home, dinners at friends' homes, and numerous coffee and lunch visits. She was always sharing a good story of things happening in her life, often with a comical twist, her sweet Scottish lilt and her delightful smile. To her many friends and colleagues, Rose was a trusted and true person and a joy to be with.
Rose became involved in and was intentional in making a contribution in every aspect of her life. This was evident in the many volunteer leadership roles in which she served in her neighbourhood, personal life, sports activities, the communities that touched her life and in her professional nursing career.
She was a cherished partner to Gloria, mother to Richard, grandma to Drew, Alexis and Robyn, and great-grandma to Hayle, Oliver and Arthur. She will be greatly missed by her sister Maggie of Wales and brother Bill of Ireland. Our thanks go to Erin, for her dedicated, gentle and loving presence in caring for Rose.
Rose's family extends appreciation and gratitude to the staff of the Misericordia Place, Level 3, for their care and compassion that was always sincere and heartfelt.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 10 at 1:00 p.m. at Augustine United Church, 444 River Ave., Winnipeg.
Donations in Rose's memory may be directed to the Oak Table Inc., 109 Pulford Street, Winnipeg, MB.
