MICHAEL HINGLEY
February 21, 1981 August 25, 2022
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Michael Hingley, with family by his side.
He is the beloved son of Warren and Louise; brother to Heather, Allison, Jennifer, Robert, Reg, Susanne and Heather Anne.
Mike was born in Hodgson, MB and grew up in Peguis and Winnipeg, before moving to Vancouver in 2008. Mike worked in hospitality for about 20 years. His passions were his cats, guitar and photography. He beat cancer in 2019, but it returned in June 2022. Mike returned home to Winnipeg to spend his remaining days with family, sharing his goofy sense of humour.
Sincere thanks to the St. Boniface hospital palliative care team for their gentle kindness and care during his stay.
Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, September 10 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Ave. at Henderson Hwy.

finally free from pain.
We all love you and will miss you always.

Fantastic friend! Even though we haven’t spent as much time together as I wished, but he always felt and will be my my brother. I remember everything he said including “As soon as I heard your voice it was a reason to get up”. Many great conversations I will never forget. ❤️ Mike you were and always be my Brother. Our times together will never be forgotten. Love, Tom - Posted by: Tom Lawreszuk (Friend) on: Nov 19, 2022

Our sincere condolences to Warren, Louise and the entire Hingley family on this very sad occasion. We remember Michael as a spunky little boy who was the same age of our daughter Nadia, both born at the hospital in Hodgson. In our images we still see Michael running and playing with his toys. May he always be remembered as the delightful cheerful boy he was. KP, Nazrah, Kevin, Nadia and family - Posted by: The Binda Family (Friends) on: Sep 10, 2022

My husband Harry and l have been family friends with the Hingleys for many, many years..Warren was the principal of the school my husband and l taught at and both their children and our children went to the same school. Our children were involved in mostly the same sports and after school activities and as a result we spent a lot of time together as two families. We exchanged a lot of dinners and enjoyed many outdoor activities like picnics and camping. Michael was the youngest of the bunch so he got a lot of special treatment Even though Michael moved away from home we always knew of his wherabouts and how he was doing. We are saddened to know that his life was cut short and he was taken away from his parents, siblings and friends even though he was the youngest. Rest In Peace Michael. Both Harry and l have been blessed to have had you in our lives. - Posted by: Sheila Dyal (Family Friend) on: Sep 03, 2022

I never had the chance to meet Mikey in person, we became friends when my best friend Neil passed away suddenly. I received a message from Mikey out of the blue telling me everything Neil felt for our friendship that he never got a chance to tell me. It was very needed and healing for me to hear, this began a friendship of many many heart to hearts. I learned the kind heart Mikey had very quickly. I was devastated when I heard the news he was terminal so quickly I wish we had more time. He will forever be carried in my heart and I’ll be forever grateful a man of such strong pure hearted character was apart of my life and I got the chance to know him. He will be greatly missed and has made a forever impression on this earth. I find comfort he is pain free and reunited with his best friend Neil. Rest peacefully my friend. Prayers and condolences for the family. His parents raised an amazing young man and should be very very proud. You will be missed Mikey. Cheers xo - Posted by: Julia Cameron (Friend) on: Sep 03, 2022
