DIANNE M. GIBSON
(nee CULLUM)
It is with deep sadness we announce the sudden passing of Dianne on Monday, August 19, 2022 at Grace Hospital at the age of 79.
Dianne is survived by her husband of 55 years George; her children, Leanne and Curtis (Heather) and grandchildren, Aiden, Carys and Derica. She is also survived by her sister Carol (Russ) of Kelowna, her brother-in-law Harvey (Shirley) of Innisfil, sister-in-law Margret Ann and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Born and raised in Regina, she moved to Winnipeg at age 15. She was an avid athlete who played basketball, volleyball, softball, golf and water-skied. At age 22 she began her career as a flight attendant with Trans Air where she worked until the arrival of Leanne. She remained a dedicated mother and homemaker until rejoining the workforce in 1986 in retail sales with the Charleswood Department Store where she stayed until officially retiring in 2008.
She loved to golf and travel and had many great adventures with family and friends. She especially enjoyed gatherings with family and friends and was the consummate hostess always ensuring there was ample food and beverages - everyone was welcome.
Dianne was involved in her kids and grandkids lives always cheering and supporting them. She loved her grandchildren immensely and seeing them thrive in school, sports and all activities made her so proud. She had a great sense of humour and was never afraid to laugh at herself - "I heard it go beep beep!" She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, September 25, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Breezy Bend Country Club located at 7620 Roblin Blvd.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Dianne's name can be made to any pet rescue shelter or charity of your choice.

Auntie Dianne made made feel welcomed and loved in a difficult situation. She took me under her wing and was always very kind to me. I think she rooted for the underdog and I will never forget her kindness. She will be missed. All my love to the family. - Posted by: Kelly Kennedy (“Aunt”) on: Sep 03, 2022

My deepest condolences to Mr. Gibson, Leanne, Curtis, Heather, Aiden, Carys, Derica, Margret Ann and the rest of your extended family. I have known this lovely family for over 30 years when I became friends with Leanne. Mrs. Gibson always made me feel welcome in her home and some of my fondest memories are from the Boxing Day dinners she graciously invited me to. I will remember her laugh, her generosity and the great love she had for her family. Take comfort in each other and know that she was loved by many. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
