JUNE GLADYS REICO
(nee ALAM)
June 14, 1944 - August 25, 2022
Our beloved June Gladys Reico passed away peacefully on August 25, 2022 at Grace Hospice, finally reunited and welcomed into the loving arms of her husband Norman Reico, as well as her sister Elaine Lund, brother Tom Alam and parents, Walter and Mary Alam. Her kind heart and generous spirit will be incredibly missed by her two sons, Glenn (Joyce) and Sean (Lisa) Reico; and beloved grandchildren, Madison, Ben, Destyn and Devin, as well as so many others.
June was truly a giving person, who always put the needs of her family and friends before her own. A lover of casual-dining chain restaurants, you'd often find June out for lunch with a friend at the nearest Pony Corral, Applebee's or Tony Roma's and sipping on a margarita. Lime, of course.
When it came to playing cards, a daily ritual with her close friends in her condo block, June was a Skip-Bo afficionado. She was also a lover of local art and scenic landscape paintings, which lined the walls of her home along with numerous photos of her grandchildren. She also loved her time at her sister's cabin in Lake of the Woods - June hated car rides, but loved the destination as long as it wasn't too humid.
A private celebration of June's life will be held with her family and friends at a later date.

Sending condolences to the family. I mostly talked with June in the lobby or at our Annual meetings. June was always upbeat and friendly and many of us will miss her smile and humour. Vicky B. - Posted by: Vicky Borgstrom (Neighbour in her condo. ) on: Sep 30, 2022

I had many many adventures with June. I saw her almost daily during our friendship of nearly 18 years. What a laugh she could be! Because of her sometimes either not worn or low battery hearing aids, she would not quite hear the conversation which she would join in with a subject completely foreign to what we were talking about! Then we would all laugh together about the outcome!! June was always there to lend a helping hand to those in trouble or in need. She was generous to a fault making sure everyone she knew had what they needed. June loved her friends and we spent many hours playing cards, listening to John Denver, and solving the problems of the world. She loved her family dearly and often spoke about how much she enjoyed their family get- togethers. She was very proud of her grandchildren and their special pets. June was a true friend to me. I loved her and will miss her immensely. I hope you are finally with your Norm June and that you are up there laughing, playing cards with the Angels!! I am sending my love and strength to her family at this time of loss. - Posted by: Wendy Walters (friend) on: Sep 10, 2022
