WALTER FRIEND
November 26, 1933 - October 5, 2022

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Walter on October 5, 2022. He was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and dear friend to many.
He is survived by his wife Margaret Ridley; his children, Debbie (Ernie) and Darryl (Cindy); grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; sister Mary; nieces and nephews.
Walter was predeceased by his parents, Harry and Anne; brothers, Mike and Bill; sisters-in-law, Anne and Anne; and niece Rose.
Walter was born in Vita, Manitoba and raised in Caliento. He enjoyed taking drives in his Dodge truck, listening to country music on his cassette tapes and going for coffee with the guys. His greatest joy was spending time with his kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids.
Dad was always so generous with his time and always willing to lend a helping hand.
We will miss you and hearing all your stories about the good old days.

Forever in our hearts
Rest in Eternal Peace Dad
Vichnaya Pamyat
We will miss you Big Grandpa

As per Walter's wishes there will be no formal service.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Alzheimer Society of Manitoba.
