BONNIE JUNE GORDON
(nee CASSIE)

August 8, 1946 - October 1, 2022

It is with profound sadness that we share news of the peaceful passing of our loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Bonnie June Gordon on October 1, 2022.
Mom was predeceased by her mother Vera Cassie and her Auntie Eileen Anderes, and we are comforted by the thought of them being reunited for a walk in the park, a game of cards, or to simply sit and enjoy the beautiful sunset together. Her life will continue to be celebrated by the love of her life and husband of 54 years, Don Gordon; her children, Corina (Trevor Reid) and Glen (Kristen); her loving grandchildren, Quinn, Landon, Madeline, Caden, Rylan, and Katelyn; her siblings, Robert Cassie (Sheila), Gord Cassie (Lois), and Gail Mace (Tom); and countless cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Mom was so full of life, love, and a sense of adventure. She was always so positive, kind, generous, and caring, and her smile and laughter always lit up the room. Her family was the most important thing in the world to her and she showed us that every day. She cherished her time spent doing activities together with family and friends, whether it be running, cycling, skiing, baking, hiking, golfing, curling, camping, painting, or simply watching and cheering on her grandchildren in their various sporting endeavours. She loved nothing more than to share in their joy and was so proud of all of their accomplishments. She loved the tranquility of her garden, her flowers, and her pond, and fought tirelessly with the deer that loved her garden just as much. Mom absolutely loved the outdoors and spending time together with Dad, whether it was at Falcon Lake, family trips to Big Sky Montana, or just at home in their backyard. Mom brought joy to everything we did and for this she will forever be remembered.
A celebration of Mom's life will be held at later date.
Family would ask that in lieu of flowers, please feel free to donate to a charity of your choice.

Condolences & Memories (5 entries)

  • I was so sorry to read about Bonnie’s passing. She always had a smile on her face and a positive attitude no matter how gruelling a workout Amanda had in store for the group. She was so darn cute! She and Don were a perfect match. The Gordon family are in my thoughts and prayers. Sincerely, Madeleine Frost - Posted by: Madeleine Frost (Former Heart Throbs Running Club member ) on: Oct 30, 2022

  • Sending love to Glen, Kristen & kids; to Don (Mr. Gordon) and to Corina and family. We are so very sorry for your profound loss. Bonnie clearly made an indelible mark on all who knew her with her generous nature, kind spirit and sense of adventure. It was always such a joy to run into her over the years and be greeted by her beautiful beaming smile… I will think of it every time I think of her. - Posted by: Jillian, Damian, Owen, Emett, Oliver & Ellis (Friend of Glens and the family) on: Oct 20, 2022

  • It saddens me to read of Bonnie’s passing. I had the good fortune to run into her over the years - always with that beautiful smile and Don right beside her. So sorry for your loss. Jeannie Anderson, friend from Grant Park. - Posted by: Jeannie Anderson (Friend ) on: Oct 15, 2022

  • We were very sad to hear that Bonnie had passed away. We would always see her and Don on the trails in Charleswood biking or running or walking and always stop to have a chat. She was so active and happy. We will miss her for sure. A beautiful kind soul! - Posted by: Wendy and Sid Farmer (Cousin) on: Oct 15, 2022

  • So sorry Don. Always thoroughly enjoyed our runs together on SATURDAY mornings in the Park. Still have the running pants she made for me. So many fond memories. - Posted by: Ken Thiessen (Running companion) on: Oct 15, 2022
