Deepest sympathy to Gordon and the family. Mrs. Mitchell (Esme) was a wonderful woman, friend, wife and incredible mother. I had the pleasure of growing up with the Mitchell children and was so very lucky to spend so much time with Esme. She always watched out for me and treated me like I was one of the family. I don’t ever remember being hungry when I was around the Mitchell household. The Mitchell kids were amazing to grow up, I cherish my memories with the family. About 3 years ago I ran into Mr. and Mrs. Mitchell at Kildonan Park. I was so happy to see them, it had been 30 years since I had. We talked for awhile and then they had to get back to their Birdwatching. I said goodbye and started to walk away, I heard my named called and turned around to see Mrs. Mitchell walking towards me again. This time she didn’t say anything. She just gave me a wonderful big hug and we went on our way. I will never forget her. Strength to the family. John Jones - Posted by: John Jones (Family Friend) on: Oct 17, 2022
