JAMES DAVID AITKENHEAD
August 1, 1944 - October 9, 2022

It is with great love and sadness that our family share in the sudden passing of our dear brother, uncle, and friend, Jim (Jimmy).
Jim was predeceased by parents, Elizabeth and James; sister Connie (Ashley); brothers, Bill (Leola), Harold (Hildur); and brother-in-law Richard. He leaves to mourn sisters, Joyce (Richard), Carol (Eugene); brother Ross (Connie), sister-in-law Leola, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Jim was loved by all who knew him. He gave the best hugs. He never forgot a Birthday or Anniversary, and always had a little gift or card to follow. His nieces and nephews loved his sense of humor and the card games he taught them at Laclu and Whitemouth. They loved him dearly.
Jim grew up in Whitemouth, Manitoba. His favorite spot in the world was the Whitemouth River, watching the rapids flow by, with a great bonfire going. He was at peace there. He loved nature and watching the beautiful sunsets and stars at night.
Jim moved to Winnipeg at the age of 15 and graduated from Vincent Massey Collegiate. He lived a full life. At the young age of 20 he spent a year in London, England working for British Airways and travelling the British Isles. Our Jimmy was a great salesman. He sold Life Insurance, Real Estate, and was in the Antique Business until a previous accident changed his life. He carried on and lived his life caring for others.
His final years were spent at Fred Tipping Place in Fort Rouge. He made many friends in the community and shared many happy times with all. Everyone should be blessed with a brother, uncle and friend, like our Jimmy.

God Bless you Jim, until we meet again. Love you forever!!
