Ab and Betty were the definition of true love. I had the pleasure of knowing Betty during my five years of working at Sterling House. She was a resident that always made laugh; she lit up every room she walked into. Betty and I had a special connection that I will forever be grateful for. She always took an interest into my life and studies; she believes in me and saw something in me. Because of her, I’ve learned to live life making memories and spreading joy. Betty, I miss your beautiful smile, your infectious laugh, and your warm hugs. Love you lots! - Posted by: Michaela Cardamone (Friend) on: Dec 03, 2022

Ab, your warm welcome as you ushered us into summer worship at the Victoria Beach Community Church was only surpassed by the jokes and chuckles Betty shared as we warbled our way through those pre-worship choir practices! You both made me feel right at home from that very first Sunday so many, many years ago. Bless you both for welcoming the "stranger" - and peace be with you, my friend. - Posted by: Kris Taylor (Victoria Beach Community Church Friend ) on: Oct 25, 2022

Great times at Ab and Betty’s house in Mesa. Fondest remembrance is our first Christmas there, and as I was a new member of the LW Mixed Chorus Betty made sure we were not by ourselves that year and future years. Also got many of us involved in the African Grandmothers project. She was a wonderful, thoughtful friend to all, and will be missed greatly. Condolences to Ab and the extended family. My memories of Betty were the connection with Job's Daughters and even on the visits when we went back to the Peg. Her friendliness and outgoing personality were the key points to a fun filled and wonderful teenager for me. We had such a fabulous time in Portland Oregon, Santa Claus Parades and many other functions with the marching band. Her leadership and guidance helped all who knew her Ab our heartfelt sympathy is with you and all your family. God Bless you Betty. My dad and I were very sad to hear of Betty's passing. Her and Ab were among two of our favourite people at Sterling House. Betty and Ab always had time for a catch up chat and a few laughs. She was a breath of fresh air and always brought a smile to my face. She will be missed. Our thoughts are with the family at this very hard time. - Posted by: Deb and Dave Strong (fan) on: Oct 15, 2022
