C. LIDIA BEVILACQUA
1932 - 2022
Peacefully on October 19, 2022, Lidia passed away at Kildonan Personal Care Home at the age of 90. Lidia is reunited with her beloved husband Sergio.
She is survived by her son Stefano, wife Joanne and their children, Anthony and wife Ashley, Matthew and wife Chelsea, and Andrew and fiancé Mackenzie; son Frank, wife Susan and their children, Lauren and Thomas; son Marco and his son Cameron, his partner Veronica and her daughter Penelope; her great-grandchildren, Knox and Claire. Lidia is also survived by her brother Adelmo and many other relatives in Italy.
Lidia was the youngest of seven children, born in Valdagno, Italy. This is where she met and married the love of her life, Sergio. They immigrated to Canada in 1957 and have lived in Winnipeg ever since.
Family and many friends enjoyed her traditional Italian dishes, lovingly prepared using fresh herbs and vegetables from her family garden. Lidia was renowned for her authentic thin crust pizza.
Memorial service will be held on Friday, October 28, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street, West St. Paul.
The family wish to thank the wonderful staff on the 2nd floor at Kildonan Personal Care Home, and her neighbors and friends, especially Lorene.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Lidia's memory can be made to CancerCare Manitoba.
