With great sadness the family wishes to announce the peaceful passing of Elsie on October 19, 2022.
She will be forever remembered and loved by children Don (Cindy) and Kathy; grandchildren Jonathan (Amanda), Katryna (Dale), Stuart (Amy) and Ryan; great-grandchildren Abby, Jordan, Julia and Colton. She is also survived by her sister Liz, brother Bert (Bernice), sister-in-law Stella and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her loving husband Adolf, son Bill and brothers Eric and William Sonnenberg.
Born and raised in the Inglis, Manitoba area, she moved to Winnipeg in 1952. She joined St. Peter's Lutheran Church where she met Adolf and they were married in 1954.
Elsie lived a full, active life. She and Adolf loved to travel and made friends everywhere they went. They were active members of St. John's Evangelical Church and North Centennial Seniors Group in their Grandma and Grandpa Swim Program.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice.
Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street.
