Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDALAL: Linda, aged 81 years, passed away peacefully on October 19, 2022 at Brandon Regional Health Centre. Linda was born and raised in Tayug, Philippines, but immigrated to Canada in 1966. She is predeceased by her parents, Domingo Rivera and Aurelia Magpali, her loving husband Tony Dalal, her brother Rolando Rivera, and sisters Purita Catly and Ruthven Rivera Sr. She is survived by her sisters Ofelia Vidal, and Mary Ann Zepeda, and loving stepsons Dave Dalal and Steve Dalal who were by her side until the end. Linda was the Head of Dietary at the Brandon Mental Health Centre (BMHC) until its closure, retiring in 1998. During her time at the hospital, she was lucky enough to be selected by the Canada Games (1979) to manage all food preparation activities, ensuring that athletes, coaches and staff all received well-balanced and healthy meals. Linda loved her job and those around her loved her. It was at BMHC where she met the love of her life, Amir (Tony) Dalal, and they were married on March 8, 1980. Together they enjoyed traveling the world and got used to their regular trips to the Philippines, visiting Linda's hometown. Thank you to the palliative care team who were involved in her care at the Brandon Regional Health Centre. While no formal service was planned, a celebration of life took place at Albert's Bistro on October 21, 2022 with her close friends and family. Cremation has taken place and she will be traveling back to her home province in the Philippines to be next to the love of her life, Amir (Tony) Dalal.

I had the great pleasure of knowing Linda while I worked at the Brandon Mental Health Centre for about 14 years in the 70's and 80's. Linda was always smiling, full of energy, and ran an outstanding Dietary Department at the Centre. She was a "classy" lady who was a supportive spouse to her husband, Tony. She will be missed. - Posted by: Dr. Ronald Richert (Former Colleague) on: Nov 03, 2022
