  • It is with great sadness, I write my condolences to Joan, Chris and Ryan (Samantha and Yale). I will always cherish the fun times Dennis (my late husband) and I had with Joey and Joan, whether it be a good conversation during a visit or being a curling team. I am so thankful I had the two opportunities to be with Joey and Joan in October during my last visit to Winnipeg. Dennis and Joey, as cousins, enjoyed each other's company. I believe Dennis was there to meet Joey. The two cousins are now enjoying a beer together as they plan to see what trouble they can get into. I will miss you Joey and our conversations! - Posted by: Sandra Trubyk (cousin-in-law) on: Oct 29, 2022

  • My condolences to the Trubyk family on the passing of your husband and father. I probably unofficially met Joe during the 1980's at Gateway Community Centre Saturday mornings, standing on the snow banks at the outdoor hockey rinks watching our sons play hockey as they were in the same age groups. In the spring of 1989 when I became HR Manager, I officially me him when he was a staff negotiator for the school divisions. I had the pleasure of meeting his wife when she was appointed a consultant for the division. It is unfortunate when you work hard and long, your golden years are cut short. I have memories of Joe standing on the snow banks, clapping his hands, encouraging his son with his deep voice on those Saturday mornings games. Rest in Peace, God Bless. - Posted by: colin dederick (friend) on: Oct 29, 2022
