JOE TRUBYK
August 31, 1951 October 25, 2022
It is with deep sorrow and saddened hearts we announce the sudden passing of our devoted husband, and father on October 25, 2022, at St. Boniface Hospital.
Joe will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his loving wife of 47 years, Joan (nee Thompson); sons, Chris (Amy-Lynn) and Ryan (Samantha) along with Yale. Although Dad's time on earth was far too short, he lived and cherished everyday with his family.
After spending time in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Joe's family settled in Winnipeg where he met the love of his life, Joan. They married on August 9, 1975.
Joe spent most of his working life at MAST (Manitoba Association of School Trustees) / MSBA (Manitoba School Boards Association). In 2019, he retired from MSBA after a stellar 40-year career.
Since Joe was a charismatic man, he controlled the room with his humour, quick wit and larger than life personality. He was a brilliant strategist who saw the world with precision and logic. As an avid traveller, he visited many destinations across the globe. As well, he was an excellent chef, and his many culinary creations will be greatly missed.
In addition, Joe should be remembered for his generosity, love of animals, and dedication to helping those less fortunate.
A celebration of his life will be held on November 10, 2022, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Canad Inns Destination Centre, Club Regent Casino Hotel, 1415 Regent Avenue West.
Cremation has taken place and Joe will be laid to rest at a private family interment.
In lieu of flowers, a donation in Joe's memory may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society or a charity of your choice.

Spent a good deal of time in Joe's presence during my 10 years with MAST. Joe was our area's advisor. Also spent time with Joe during my time in the MAST office. Joe was knowledgeable, logical, and had very good interpersonal relationship skills. He will be missed. May God comfort his family. - Posted by: Lorn Bergstresser (MAST) on: Feb 08, 2023

I would like to pass on my Condolences to Joan and all of Joe’s family. My memory of Joe was that he was a key figure in solving problems while working through the Conciliation process during collective bargaining with teachers contracts throughout Manitoba. Respect and trust would be the first words I can think of. - Posted by: Jim Murdock (Friend ) on: Nov 05, 2022
