I first met Bob working together in Steinbach at Hydro but his first love was being a firefighter. I next met him and Val as newlyweds in Transcona and became long time friends. Valerie, stay strong and lean on those loved ones around you. And rest easy my friend. - Posted by: Joe Maloney (Friend) on: Dec 01, 2022

I first met Bob when we worked together in Steinbach with Hydro before he went on to become a firefighter. I subsequently met up with him again in Transcona plus becoming friends with brothers David and Bill. He was good friend and fiercely proud of his choice of vocation Knowing his delicate health I was still shocked. Val, May you find comfort with you family and siblings and rest easy my friend. - Posted by: Joe Maloney (Friend and one time co-worker) on: Dec 01, 2022

Bob was a great guy and a charm to work with. Great driver and kept his guys on the back, on the pump even in downtown traffic. Working in Transcona with him and Mike and Murray and Tom was a treat. There wasn't anywhere we couldn't go. Bob was always smiling or had a pleasant look about him. He will always bring a smile to my mind when I think of him. Blessings to the Glover and Vallis families. Big hugs Val. - Posted by: mike robson (friend and firefighter) on: Nov 07, 2022

Val and Family Dad, Sandy and I are so sorry for your loss. Bobby was such a loyal and good friend to dad. Sandy and I very much appreciated Bob making time for a Timmies coffee, a breakfast at the Seine river Cafe or simply a phone visit. Dad had just told us of the surgery and that Bob and he had a nice conversation and he was doing so well just a few days ago so truly a terrible shock. Our deepest thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this truly sad time. Vern, Sandy and Donna - Posted by: Donna Martin (Friend of family ) on: Nov 05, 2022

With profound sadness and a very heavy heart, I wish to convey my sincere condolences to the Glover and Vallis extended families. Bob was my best friend, a friendship that has lasted for over 50 years. To Val, Tracy and Karen, his girls (his words) I know your hearts are broken, and a very large part of your lives have been taken away. May your happy memories and thoughts be a blessing to each of you. To Scott and Jason and his six wonderful grandchildren, Sam, Evan, Tyler, Noah, Laura and Ryan please accept my thoughts and prayers at this very troubled time. For all who knew Bob, I am sure you agree, that his presence in your lives was a positive. Bob was a funny happy go lucky sort, whose greatest joy in life was his family. I will miss Bob a bunch, but with each memory that puts a smile on my face, I will remember all the good times together.Peace to Bob, and to all that had the joy of knowing him, and being a part of your life.
