He is lovingly remembered by his wife Yvonne and daughter Debra (Kel) as well as his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Clayton was predeceased by his daughter Patricia Dawn. A private family memorial service was held at St. Paul's United Church in Boissevain, Manitoba.
