ROWLEY: Elizabeth (Beth) (nee Lawson). Beth was born on June 2, 1928 in Brandon and passed away at the Assiniboine Centre on Sunday, November 27, 2022. She was one of 11 children born to David and Susan Lawson. Mom worked for several years at each of Knowlton Shoe Store, Strand Theater and Green Acres Drive Inn. She later found her true talent painting ceramics and selling her work at craft sales. Painting and interacting with people at the sales was something she truly enjoyed. Baking was an activity Mom also loved. She always made all the dainties for our Christmas family gatherings and baked many birthday cakes for many family members. Taking care of her yard and particularly her flowers was a source of joy and she maintained flower beds at her house until she was 91. Christmas and all family gatherings were her greatest joy. She hosted Christmas Eve in her home, and everyone looked forward to seeing the beautiful way she decorated her home. Mom was predeceased by her husband Bob, her parents and nine of her siblings. She leaves to mourn her son Bob (Gale); granddaughters: Amanda (Shawn) Vidito, Ashley (Sean) Taron, Lisa Rowley (Kenny Mott), nine great grandchildren and brother, Glenn (Eileen) Lawson. A Memorial Service will be held at the Brandon Cemetery on Friday, December 9, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. with Kim Lewarne as celebrant. A time of fellowship and refreshments will take place at the Victoria Inn, 3550 Victoria Ave, following the service.
