VIRGINIA JANICE LOUISE SIMCOE
1946 - 2022
Janice passed away peacefully at Poseidon Care Home on Wednesday, November 23 at the age of 76 years.
Janice will be sadly missed by her goddaughter Nicole Kalaitzakis; cousin-in-law Lucille Small; Lucille's sons, Brett and Kevin Small; close friend Janice Gural, plus many other cousins and friends.
Janice was predeceased by her parents, Olive and Zane and her brother Raymond.
Janice was born in Winnipeg on March 24, 1946 and worked for the Province of Manitoba for 25 years in Procurement Services.
Janice loved animals and over the years had dogs, cats and a bird. She loved to crochet afghans, do word searches and purchase items on the Home Shopping Network.
The family would like to thank the 2nd floor staff at Poseidon Care Home for their care during Janice's illness.
Funeral service will be held at Glen Eden Funeral Home and Cemetery on Tuesday, December 6 at 10:00 a.m., 4477 Main Street.
Flowers gratefully declined. Donations may be made in Janice's memory to the Winnipeg Humane Society.
