MARGARET SALVIA PONDO
(nee KARDASHINSKI)
August 23, 1934 - November 28, 2022

Peacefully at her home, Margaret passed away at the age of 88.
Predeceased by her beloved husband, Stanley in 2005, Margaret is survived by her two caring daughters, Sandra and her husband Dan Hilborn of Cambridge, ON and Susan and her husband Tony Warzel; her grandchildren, Josh and wife Jenny Hilborn of Milton, ON, Jenna Hilborn and Trevor Botz of Mississauga, ON, Monica Warzel and Mason Hobson and Andrea Warzel; her four great-grandchildren, Lydia, Harry and Myles Hilborn and Lincoln Botz. She is also survived by her sister Ilene Kardashinski Watt of Mississauga, ON and her sister-in-law Joan Pondo as well as nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Walter Kardashinski, Joseph and Laura Malecki; her sister and brother-in-law Mildred and Marcus Stephens; her brother Gordon Kardashinski; her brother-in-law Ron Watt; Stanley's parents, Martin and Weronica; his sister Jean Roscoe and his brother Adam.
Margaret was born on August 23, 1934, in Bifrost, Manitoba. At an early age, the family moved to the North End of Winnipeg where Margaret resided the rest of her life. She married Stanley on November 3, 1956, and together they made a wonderful home at 907 Cathedral Avenue.
Margaret started her working life at Ketchen Printing and throughout her career had many different employment opportunities from Office Manager at North American Educational Guild to kitchen designing for various companies. Even in retirement, Margaret kept working as a volunteer over the last 15 years at Harvest Manitoba.
Cremation has taken place and a private family service and interment will take place in the Spring of 2023.
