EILEEN DOROTHY KOLBERG
(nee DOERN)
October 25, 1941 - November 24, 2022
Do not feel sad for me,
I have had a great life!
Left to cherish my memory is my son Dan (Marianne); daughter Cheryl (Luc); grandchildren, Scotia and Cole; their father Dallas; sister Phyllis; and a nephew and niece.
I was predeceased by my husband Wally; brother-in-law Don; and my parents, William and Bella Doern.
Thank you to my family and friends who offered their support, help, and visits during my illness. Also special thanks to my dear friend Gayle, who I often referred to my "second pair of legs" and Wayne and Maureen for their constant support over the past few years. The best anyone can give you is their time .
Cremation will have taken place. There will be no funeral at my request. A private family interment will be at a future date, where once again, I will join Wally.
Flowers are greatly declined. If so desire, a donation can be made to: ALS Society of Manitoba, please add In Memory of Eileen Kolberg /BFH in the memo part of your cheque.
Our family would like to offer our deepest gratitude to the Team at the Brummitt-Feasby ALS Palliative Care Home who were all part of Eileen's comfort and care.
"There are no goodbyes for us.
Wherever you are you will
always be in our hearts."

My condolences to all of the family. Eileen and I worked together at Sears, on switchboard. I will certainly miss all of her emails and jokes. She was a kind and lovely person. I will miss her. Rose Wilson - Posted by: Rose Wilson (Friend) on: Dec 05, 2022

Eileen and I shared a summer staying with Sophie keen Lilly Schultz and her Grandma who I knew only, as Mrs. Doern At that time we hung around Bill and Wayne Bohinski. We lived in WPG close to each other. through our teenage years. In fact, I was with her when she met Wally at a dance. Eileen was "smitten" from that moment on. I have many good memories of the times we shared. I know you will miss her. Let your memories of her reflect on those you love. With heartfelt sympathy, Janis Booth - Posted by: Janis Booth nee Mmartin (Friend. Eileen and I shared Aunt sophie Keen) on: Dec 04, 2022

As a family we would travel from Ontario to Winnipeg to see my Mother's Mother. 3 children in the back of a car. One of these trips, I must have been very young we went to visit my Mother's (Janis Booth's/nee Martin) friend Eileen. I recall her being very glamourous and vivacious and was disappointed when we left. It was a glimpse into my own mother's childhood that seemed surprising. Janis and Eileen were friends as teens I think. They had a lot of fun together as two young ladies going from different Aunts houses during the summers. I may have my facts wrong of their time together but will make a point of reminiscing with my mother over the holidays. Janis was saddened to hear of Eileen's passing. The message was passed on to her by her cousin Wallace. I thank Eileen for that glimpse into my mother's childhood and for the friendship they shared. My condolences to the family. - Posted by: Jennifer Ayres (My Mother was Eileen's friend) on: Dec 04, 2022

To Cheryl and her family, I'm so sorry for the loss of your wonderful mother & Nanny. I only met her a few times but she was so lively, full of energy and just a lovely soul. Her spirit will live on as you recall and celebrate the cherished memories of all the time you had with her. Wishing you and your family peace and love Colleen - Posted by: Colleen Parry (friend) on: Dec 03, 2022
