Peacefully on November 23, 2022, Marjorie Elizabeth Rock passed away at Oakview Place at 96 years of age, surrounded by the love of her family.
Marjie was born in Hamilton, Ontario on February 13, 1926 to Joseph and Hilda Masters and moving to Winnipeg as a young girl.
She was predeceased by the love of her life, David; her sisters and best friends, Eileen Little and Eleanor Elmer and her brother Gordon Masters. Left to cherish her memory are her nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews as well as extended family and special friends, all of whom she adored. Marjie loved children and was everyone's Auntie Marjie.
Marjie led a very active life golfing, curling, bowling, and skating. She and David loved to travel as well as enjoying many weekends away in Grand Forks, Victoria Beach, Grand Beach, Falcon Lake, and Sandy Hook.
She loved to entertain and was a great cook. Marjie never had a dessert she didn't like.
So many of our lives' fondest memories included Aunti Marjie. She was such a special lady and was loved by all who ever had the pleasure to meet her.
Our heartfelt thanks go out to the staff at Oakview for their loving care. A private celebration will be held.

Condolences & Memories (5 entries)

  • I worked with Margie for many years. Her and David were beautiful people . I still have the little mirror she gave me many many years ago. Condolences to the family. - Posted by: Donna Daniels (Co-worker) on: Dec 03, 2022

  • I met Marjorie in 1974 when I first became an employee of Driver & Vehicle Licensing (DDVL). We worked closely together in the Division's Accounting Department where we formed a great friendship. Marjorie and David would socialize with us and my parents. We enjoyed our times together. Marjorie loved to laugh and I was instrumental in bringing about many of those opportunities. Like many friendships, ours waned due to family commitments and changes in circumstances. Although I have not seen Marjorie in many years, she has been thought of on numerous occasions. My wife and I extend our heartfelt condolences to Marjorie's family. Take comfort in the fact that she lived a long and productive life and is now reunited with David. - Posted by: Don Halbert (Friend) on: Dec 03, 2022

  • I worked with our beautiful Margie at 1075 Portage in the 80’s up until her retirement. She was a member of our DVL golf club. Enjoyed knowing her friends and family at that time. She was a loving friend. Deepest condolences to her family. - Posted by: June Neal (Co-worker) on: Dec 03, 2022

  • I worked with Margie at Driver and Vehicle Licensing at 1075 Portage in the early 80’s. There were 3 of us Issuing Clerks who all worked with her at the Cashiers desk. The 3 of us were just reminiscing about those days with Margie, she was a sweet woman who will be remembered fondly. Condolences to your family - Posted by: Carla Hocken (Coworker) on: Dec 03, 2022
