PATRICIA ELLEN ROSE ELLIOTT
(nee MCBRIDE)
On Sunday, November 20, 2022, at 1:20 p.m., Patricia died peacefully at St. Boniface Hospital Palliative Care in Winnipeg, MB. In prior weeks, she had declared "I've had a good life", and she kept her sense of humour to the end.
Born February 11, 1944 in Gladstone, Manitoba as the only child of Caroline and Roy McBride, Pat is survived by her husband Jack Arnold Elliott, devoted and loving companion throughout her life; by her sons Thomas Roland (Jennifer Lynn Powley) and Ian Patrick (Lisa Leanne Borowski); and by her granddaughters Aoife Odette and Ayda Quinn Elliott.
Known to be gracious, dedicated and kind, she kept from the spotlight, and those close to her knew her to be empathetic and introverted. She followed Canadian politics, read, crocheted, tended gardens, appreciated travel when she could, and loved visiting with friends and family most of all.
We'll always miss her. Her resolute character endures not only in the dispositions of her sons and granddaughters, but in the impressions of family and friends that have been stirred and sustained by her company.
A Celebration of Life is being planned for a later date.
A photo-biography, as well as memories and stories published by those who knew her are available at EthicalDeathCare.com.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Pat's name to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Canada or Harvest Manitoba.

Years ago Pat and I were classmates at United College and lived in the Sparling Hall Residence. We were part of a closely knit rural group. Thinking of those days brings back memories of youth and fun times. Pat was a lovely person: kind, gracious, and genuine. It was a pleasure to have known her; I’m glad our paths crossed. My sympathies go out to Jack and family. With fond memories, - Kathryn (‘Kathy’) Patterson nee McKay - Posted by: Kathryn (Kathy) Patterson, nee McKay (Friend) on: Dec 03, 2022
