SUSAN CHRISTINE CHESTLEY
September 25,1954 - November 30, 2022
Susan passed away peacefully on the morning of Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at her home in Birds Hill surrounded by family.
She had a giant heart and a major love and kindness toward all animals. There was a warmth about her that made everyone feel at home, including furry friends. She also had an enormous love and appreciation for her entire family. It's hard to capture her life in a few words, but Susan was dearly loved and will be incredibly missed.
Susan was known for her love of gardening and working outside in her magazine-perfect yard. You could usually find her with some sort of gardening tool in one hand and a bag of soil in the other, often with a kitty as her shadow.
Susan and her family would like to personally thank Dr. T. Fatoye, Maribeth and Catherine for their excellent care and friendship throughout the years. A huge thank you as well to all the doctors and nurses who were there along the way for their help and kindness.
Mom was survived by her husband Don; daughters, Jaclyn (Jordan) and Hayley (Kyle); her mother Shirley and her brother Bud (Karen), and predeceased by Bud Guest Sr. (2018). In addition to immediate family, Susan was very close to her husband's side, the Chestley's.
In accordance with her wishes, no funeral will be held, but a private family gathering to celebrate her life at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba or any animal shelters in Winnipeg.
Condolences for the family may be left at www.alternacremation.ca.
