CLIFF DAWSON
It's with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Cliff Dawson in the early hours of Thursday, December 1, 2022. He leaves behind his loving wife Shelia (Bannatyne) of 63 years.
He was predeceased by his mother Marg, father Stan, and sister Val.
Cliff leaves behind his brothers and sisters-in-law, Grant (Joyce), Ross (Carol), Nancy, Diane and Mary-Lynn, as well as many many nieces and nephews who will greatly miss him.
Cliff joined the firefighters in 1958 and retired as a Captain in 1991. It was a career he very much enjoyed and then continued his journey with Cambrian Blasting for several years. Cliff was also a proud lifetime member of the Manitoba yacht club.
There will be no funeral service as per Cliff's request.
No flowers please! If you wish a donation can be made to the Firefighters Burn Fund.

Cliff, along with Sheila, formed so much a part of our youth. From swimming in their pool to snowmobiling and everything in between. They both devoted so much time to Family. Cliff was a fine mentor. A conversation with him usually had one learning something, laughing a lot or both. He had the best fastball catcher “chatter” of all time. Thank you so much, Cliff. It was an honour and a pleasure. - Posted by: Grant Bannatyne (Nephew) on: Dec 11, 2022

My deepest sympathy to you 'Auntie' Sheila. Although it has been a long time since we have seen each other, I will never forget all of the fun and good times that we had with you and 'Uncle' Cliff. I have great memories, especially those Grey Cup parties which were always around my Dad's birthday! I have thought of you often throughout the years and will keep you in my heart. - Posted by: Sandra Dawson-Foley (Family friend) on: Dec 10, 2022

Cliff was a wealth of knowledge on everything nautical and was ALWAYS ready to give a helping hand to anyone in need. - Posted by: Darrin Carlin (fellow Royal manitoba yacht club member) on: Dec 08, 2022
