TIBOR KAROLY BODA
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our father and papa Tibor Boda on Thursday, December 1, 2022. He was predeceased by his wife Maria, his parents, Lajos and Eszter and his four siblings, Lajos, Irene, Eva and Gyula.
To celebrate his life, he leaves behind his loving children, Tibor (Rozsa), Sylvia (Jed): grandchildren - Eva, Tibor III, Mark, Evan (Katie), sister-in law Katalin (Nick) and Nick Jr. He also leaves behind in Hungary his brother Laci and his sisters, Marta, Edit and Kati. He will be lovingly remembered by family members, Melissa (Tom), Rosie (AJ) and great-grandson Connor who loved Papa so much and as well by numerous nieces, nephews and friends throughout Canada, United States and Hungary.
Tibor was born in Bercel, Hungary on July 1, 1936. He was the middle of nine children. It was during the Hungarian Revolution in 1956 that our father and mother decided to leave their beloved Hungary and friends and start their young married lives in the free country of Canada.
Our parents were very involved in the Hungarian community, everyone knew Boda Tibor and Marika. They were both members of St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church.
Our family would like to Thank all the doctors, nurses, caregivers who have taken care of our dear Father throughout his illness and to Father Dado who gave him spiritual guidance and care.
We would like to thank all our friends and family for their continued support throughout and during this difficult time.
Flowers are gratefully declined. Donations in Tibor's memory may be made to the Manitoba Cancer Society.
Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Hungarian Roman Catholic Church, 365 Burnell Street. Officiating the mass will be Father Diosdado Parrenas and Father Darrin Gurr.
Nygodjal Bekeben Papa.
Rest in Peace Apu. We Love You.

I worked for Tibor, he was a happy go lucky gentleman. Always a pleasure to speak to, always had a skip to his step. He told me stories of his life and played his harmonica with joy. I enjoyed our talks and doing puzzles with him. I will never forget how he always greeted me with a smile. He will be never forgotten and missed so much. - Posted by: Tania (Worker) on: Jan 02, 2023
