Condolences & Memories (12 entries)

  • I wish I checked up on you everyday like you did with me. I wish I texted you the days I thought about you before it happened. It breaks me knowing you won’t be dancing with me at my debut. It hurts knowing we won’t make our Disney trip together like we planned. I would have loved to receive one of your sweet paragraphs again on my birthday. I would have loved for you to come and visit me at school. It’s still so hard to believe you’re gone. To this day, I still wonder what you got me from your Chicago trip. I will always miss your laugh, voice, ours walks and especially your presence. You’re a best friend that will never be replaced, you’re one of a kind. I’m so glad I got to meet such an angel with the sweetest soul. You’ll always be my bestfriend Ale. I love you forever. - Posted by: kaella (friend bff for life af 🤞🤞☝️) on: Jan 22, 2023

  • There is nothing I could possibly say that will take away the pain and heartache left behind by Alejandro leaving this world so soon. However my prayer for you mom, dad, brother and family alike, that God will embrace you all in his loving arms as you grieve and come to terms with the shock of this very devastating lost. God bless you all and keep you in his Devine care. - Posted by: Andrene Green (My son's friend and basketball teammate at Ecole Leila North) on: Dec 22, 2022

  • There are no words that can really express how deeply sorry I am for your loss. Alejandro was such a caring and vibrant young man. He drew others to him with his friendliness and ease. He was such a joy to teach and I am thankful that I was able to be his math teacher when he first came to River East. Even though I didn't teach him this year, he would pop by my classroom every so often to let me know what he was up to. I will miss his visits and the bright light he was in our REC community. Sending prayers and peace. Helen MacNeil - Posted by: Helen Macneil (Grade 9 Math Teacher) on: Dec 19, 2022

  • First, our family passes on to you Marc and all your family our sincerest condolences. We remember Ale, playing basketball on our driveway with the BB kids from REC. He was a young man full of joy, compassion, laughter and that smile… that was beautiful! We watched these boys play BB many times and always heard the roar of laughter as they made their moves. Our youngest son, Tony, looked up to Ale, and was proud to tell me one day that Ale called Tony his little brother and would watch out for him. Those that had the chance to be a part of your sons life was made better for it. We hope that in the days to come you are embraced in the knowing that so many people are sending you their prayers and love. The driveway BB games won’t be the same next year. But I’m sure those kids will still play BB with their friend Ale watching from above laughing and smiling at them. - Posted by: Susan (My sons friend) on: Dec 17, 2022

  • Alejandro was such a light. I’ll never forget his smile, his kind voice, and his love of basketball. It was an honour to have been one of his teachers and I am heartbroken over his passing. He made music in band with a spirit of fun and joy, and was so so happy when he finally got to play percussion! The twinkle in his eye and his kind soul will always be my fondest memories of him. I will miss him greatly. - Posted by: Joanne Kosheluk (Band Teacher) on: Dec 17, 2022
