The times we shared over coffee chat when he would shared his emotions and struggles. We needed more time to share - Posted by: Bunsee Balkissoon (CCS buddy and coffe mate) on: Jan 29, 2023

Ken and I were close friends when we attended Chapman School together but lost touch with each other when my family moved away from Charleswood in 1948. But several years I 'looked him up' online and we communicated by email and telephone a few times and 'caught up' with our lives and he gave me some news of our former classmates. We talked about my coming to Winnipeg (from Toronto) and getting together but I never got around to it and the pandemic intervened and just as I was thinking 2023 would be the year of our reunion I received an email with the sad news. And, BTW, I remember the wonderful flower gardens Ken's parents used to plant on Oakdale Drive! - Posted by: Jim Arnett (Boyhood friend) on: Jan 24, 2023

Extending my deepest sympathy to Dean Britton and family on Ken's passing. Ken was a long time volunteer with the Wheels of Hope - the Cancer Society's volunteer driver program dedicated to transporting cancer patients to treatment. He was deeply respected by the CCS staff and all who knew him! His tenure with the WPS explains his no nonsense approach to getting things done!! We honour Ken for his many years volunteer service! May he rest in peace. Lynda Ruban Canadian Cancer Society (retired) - Posted by: Lynda Ruban (Canadian Cancer Society (retired)) on: Jan 03, 2023

I was a next door neighbour to Ken’s parents and they certainly raised a great man who was much like his father. I had many great times with them and also with Ken, fishing; we had funny experience and also visited Ken in the hospital We had a few reciprocating parties in our homes Lost track when we left Charleswood. An acquaintance told me where he lived once he retired and here lays a ‘lesson in life’ don’t put off your intentions because “tomorrow “ will never come RIP Kenneth - Posted by: Robert (Bob) Bull (Neighbour to George and Chris in the 60’s) on: Dec 31, 2022

I am saddened by the passing of Ken, who was one of my partners while up in Dets. in early 1960. Ken visited me a few times at Qualicum Beach, B.C., in recent years. Ken was a real gentleman, who you could always count on. . My condolences to his wife and children. - Posted by: Ron Truesdale (Former W.P,D.Comrade and Friend.) on: Dec 31, 2022

Ken was my Patrol Sergeant in Dist 3 uniform patrol in 1980 after I finished my first long stint in the Drug Squad... He was personable, approachable and an all around great supervisor…and a real old time cop with street smarts who supported his troops. Due to a lack of seniority I had decided not to apply for a promotion that year but Ken pulled me in for a little chat and strongly encouraged me to do so…and I got my first promotion. Rest in peace. - Posted by: Jack Tinsley (Former co-worker ) on: Dec 31, 2022
