OLENA (HELEN) GARRITY

September 12, 1935 - December 24, 2022


In loving memory of Olena Garrity who passed away on December 24, 2022, at Victoria General Hospital.
Olena will be lovingly remembered by her children: Barry Kibsey, Darcia (Randy) Evans and Daniel Kibsey; grandchildren: Travis (Katie), Alyssa, Brendan, Adrian, Alexandria and Marissa; great- grandchildren: Paul, Charlie and Tripp; sister Natalie (Jerry) Ostryzniuk as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Olena was an active member of the Ukrainian Orthodox community and dedicated her life to volunteering. Her family was her pride and joy. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff of Grace Hospital and Victoria General Hospital.
The funeral service will be celebrated by V. Rev. Archpriest Eugene Maximiuk on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral, 1175 Main Street. Masks are encouraged. To view the live stream of the funeral service please go to:
