My Grandparents had a small house right next door to the Moores. It was designed plus built by Bob Moore, so that both houses shared a garden, And that's where Darryl and I met to play together, for a decade, as children, every weekend in Winnipeg's early 1950's. After that, during our teens, we knocked about together in summers at Lake of the Woods, where she became a favourite of my Father's. In 2016, when we met for breakfast after a decades long hiatus, I discovered why. It was Darryl's wisdom couched in humour which touched my Father. And it was her kindness to him that touched me with a grace I'll carry with me as long as I live. Robert Gamache's comment about her wisdom and companionship is as true as his Sweet Darryl was herself. She'd be surprised if she knew how much and how deeply she'll be missed. My deepest sympathies to the many who will miss her, Kay W. . - Posted by: Kay Wilson (Friend) on: Jan 10, 2023
