I was deeply saddened to hear of Richard's passing. Richard and Sandy took me in while I was attending high school at Daniel Mac. I was always treated like family and even when I moved on, I always felt welcome whenever I came for a visit. I vividly recall Richard calling Jamie and I "boy" just before our 18th birthdays and then switching to "man" the day after. To Sandy, Rob and Jamie and the rest of Richard's family and friends, please accept my condolences. - Posted by: Gerald Trach (Friend of Jamie and lucky to have known Richard) on: Aug 24, 2023

Richard, We had the most awesome friendship that has spanned over 47 years with so many memories and years of laughter and fun with you, Sandy and the boys. All the years at our cottages, many parties, dancing singing and again lots of laughs. As long as we were in Manitoba we always got together and not many people could say they had such a special friendship for so long but we were so very lucky to share a friendship with you and Sandy. We always said we were just like family, so until we meet again we will hold on to our precious memories and think of you often. Sandy, Robbie & family, Jamie & family you are all in our thoughts and we are sending our love and hugs to each and every one of you. - Posted by: Brian & Sharline Ward (lifetime friends) on: Jan 13, 2023

Richard lived two doors down from me, great guy. We would be in our garage or out in the lane and talk for hours. We always had something to talk about. My condolences to Sandy and the Boys and their families. I sure will miss Richard as there will not be a Friend in the lane to help solve the world's problems anymore. RIP my Friend. - Posted by: Tom Hamilton (Friend) on: Jan 12, 2023

I will always remember Mr. Pilgrim so proud at Jamie and Angie’s wedding and sun filled afternoons at the lake. So sorry for Mrs. Pilgrim (Sandy) and the whole family. Hope you all find comfort in each other. - Posted by: Lisa (Friend) on: Jan 12, 2023
