GLORIA GOODINE
(née PELLETIER)
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved mom and nana, Gloria Goodine (née Pelletier) at the age of 95 on December 30, 2022.
Gloria was born on November 15, 1927, and was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Clara Pelletier; brothers, Tony, Homer, and Lloyd; sisters, Adele and Marie; and her beloved grandson Jamison Lister. Gloria is survived by her only daughter Glory (Jeff) Lister; along with her best friend and granddaughter Janelle Lister; and her cherished grandson Jonathan (Amber) Lister. She leaves to mourn her sister Jessie Chuipka; brothers, Martin (Pat) Pelletier and Lorne (Lynda) Pelletier; and much-loved niece Karen Topham.
Mom was an amazing ball player and inducted into the Manitoba Hall of Fame in 2004. She played Senior Women's fast ball in Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and BC. Gloria spent many years living and working in Vancouver and relocated to Winnipeg in 1978 to finish out her 37-year career with Zellers. She lived here until her passing.
Gloria was blessed with great health and was extremely independent until the last few months. She was selflessly devoted to her daughter and grandchildren, and they always came first in her life. She was the true matriarch of our family, and we cannot imagine life without her. Nana was a great believer in the power of walking and always said "you have to keep moving", so we shall try to do that until we see her again one day.
Gloria's family kindly requests that her friends and relatives take a few minutes to honour her memory by visiting her tribute page at EthicalDeathCare.com. A photo-biography, as well as memories and stories published by those who knew her are available there.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at St. Charles Parish, 320 St. Charles Street.

I worked at Zellers with Gloria, she was a great mentor! Very outgoing strong woman. Very sorry for your loss, she was very proud of her family. She had alot of energy and even after her retirement I still saw her out and about in the community. - Posted by: Robyn Allan (Co Worker) on: Jan 16, 2023

I didn't actually work with her but my Mom Maria McDonald worked with Gloria at Zellers in Westwood for many years. She always remembered Gloria fondly. I'm very sorry for the loss of your Mom. I'm sure she'll be missed terribly. - Posted by: Cathy Gilmore (work acquaintance) on: Jan 15, 2023
