Very sad to read of Jean's passing. I was her hairstylist at Singletons hair care from 2008 to about 2015. She was my hair model to get my license and was a big supporter of my career. Condolences to your family she was an amazing person - Posted by: Alanna Slobodian (Former hairstylist) on: Jan 31, 2023

Mike and family, We are so sorry to hear that Jean had passed away. She was always such a happy, bubbly and easy going person which made being with her a pleasure. Jean loved to be so organized - you could tell by her cutlery drawer and her pantry. She always made you feel so comfortable when we visited with her. Jean left us wonderful memories that we will cherish in our hearts forever. Rest in Peace Jean. - Posted by: Lori Kamins (Friend) on: Jan 26, 2023

Dear Mike and family, We are so saddened to hear the passing of your Jean. No matter how she felt when we dropped by for a visit during these past couple of years, her pain always seemed to dissolve into a smile for us. That sums up the type of person Jean was. Negativity was not in her nature. Speaking of nature, Jean always had a story to tell of the recent happenings surrounding her "home away from home". Whether it be the owl hooting while perched on the hydro pole..to..the cougar bedding down on the side of the cabin... her family of foxes who frequently visited ... the squirrels who seemed to manage to cut the power off to our development ...to the bears visiting through her window, forcing her to lock the deck gate. We loved listening to all the vivid details that she shared with us. Your family cabin was her "Happy Place". She will be missed by the both us, as well as our community. - Posted by: Lesley and Mati Nomme (friends) on: Jan 26, 2023

Jean was always Mom #2 to me. She meant a lot with her humble and happy nature and was always there for me if I needed to talk. She will be missed, but her memory will forever live, always. - Posted by: David Albert Newman (Neighbour) on: Jan 25, 2023

So sorry to hear of Jeans passing. I was her flower girl at her wedding. I always looked forward to her morning message where she shared a funny story from her past, or a song, or descriptions of her animal friends. She was such a lovely special lady. We were all fortunate that she was a part of our lives. Rest in peace friend, your battle is over, you will be missed….. - Posted by: Donna and Brad McDonald (Friend) on: Jan 17, 2023

I feel truly lucky to have had Wilma in my life. I loved her very, very much. She was so genuinely kind, loving, and thoughtful. She never failed to support and encourage everyone around her. She was courageous, strong, and a true inspiration. Her sense of humour always made me laugh. She was feisty! Wilma was enthusiastic and fun, thoroughly enjoying life and the people in it. She loved her family so much and always had great stories and memories to share. Mike and her boys were everything to her. Wilma will be sadly missed but will live on in my heart forever. - Posted by: Stacey Emerson (Niece) on: Jan 16, 2023

Dear Mike and Family, You are in our thoughts and prayers. We are deeply saddened by the passing of Jean. Jean was such a strong, vibrant, wonderful woman. She was always cheerful no matter what! I remember how Jean loved my pickled beets. Everytime I have them, I think of her. We are so glad that we were able to visit with Jean, you and your family in the fall at the lake. Jean was so vibrant and strong. Our memories of Jean will be those. Jean will be sadly and truly missed by us. Love Susan and Grant Sebastian - Posted by: Susan Sebastian (Friend ) on: Jan 14, 2023
