MAVIS FRIESEN (LEAVER)

It is with saddened hearts we announce the passing of Mavis Georgina Friesen (Leaver), at the age of 83. Born November 5, 1939, leaving us on January 6, 2023. She was a caring and loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother.
She was predeceased by her parents Dick and Kathleen Leaver, her brother Richard and her first husband John Friesen. She is survived by her sister Jean and brother Keith. Also, left to mourn are her daughter Diane (Clive) and grandson Joel (Sierra), her son Bruce (Kathy) and granddaughters Kristin and Danielle and her son David (Brenda) and granddaughters Sara (Paul) and Niki (Scott), and 3 great-grandchildren Elliot, Emmett and Everlynn.
Mom loved the simple things. She loved being around family and friends. She puttered endlessly in the yard and in her flower gardens. She cared for the elderly, whether dropping in to see people at home or at Bayside personal care home or doing meals on wheels. She was an unbelievable seamstress. She would never back down from a sewing challenge and completed her work to perfection.
Mom was so loved by her family. She will be dearly missed by everyone, but we take comfort in knowing that she is now with Dad again.
A memorial service was held at the Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Killarney, Manitoba on January 11, 2023. Interment has taken place at Killarney Cemetery.

Donations in memory of Mavis may be made to the Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Box 801, Killarney, Manitoba R0K 1G0.

Messages of condolence may be made online at www.wheatlandfs.com

We love you Mom.
