On January 20, 2023, Mary Kyluk, beloved wife of Michael Kyluk, passed away peacefully at the age of 91 at Concordia Place Personal Care Home.
Mary was born in the municipality of Springfield, Manitoba on May 28, 1931 to Anastasia and Andrew Tysko and moved to Transcona with her family in 1935 and made Transcona her lifelong home.
Mary and Michael were married on June 16, 1951 and resided in Transcona for 71 happy years. In 2022 both Mary and Michael moved to Concordia Place Personal Care Home.
Mary was a long-time member of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of All Saints and volunteered at many church functions and supported many fundraisers.
Family was always the most important part of Mary's life and both her and Michael enjoyed spending time with family in Winnipeg and travelling to visit family out west.
Her memory will always be cherished by her husband Michael, her two daughters, Linda Manitowich and Donna Topp, grandsons, Derek Manitowich and Bryan Topp (Emma), great-grandchildren, Ella and Marin Manitowich, and Kaden Topp, as well as niece Brenda Thompson (Richard). She was predeceased by her parents, Andrew and Anastasia Tysko, brother Stephen and sister-in-law Gertie Tysko, sister Stella and brother-in-law Joe Romeo, and son-in-law Douglas Manitowich.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to the wonderful staff at Concordia Place Personal Care Home for the kindness and care given to Mary these past few months.
