Offer Condolences or Memory ROBERTA ELIZABETH GOOD
(CONGDON)
January 4, 1949 – January 11, 2023
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, and grandma. Roberta passed away peacefully at St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg with family by her side.
Left to cherish her memory are husband Walter; daughters, Kelly (Todd), Carolyn (Eric), and her grandchildren, Connor and Maggie. She is also survived by her sister Sandra (Donald); niece Sarah (Rich); aunt Denise (William); cousins and wonderful lifelong friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Robert and Constance Congdon.
Roberta grew up, married and raised her family in the Fort Garry/Fort Richmond areas. She was married to Walter, the love of her life for 52 years. They hosted many family gatherings, holiday parties and visits from special friends over the years. As a couple they loved to travel and visited many countries, enjoying cruises, adventures and unique experiences. After retirement, Roberta and Walter moved to St. Vital and spent the winters in Palm Springs, California for over 10 years, where they took pleasure in golf, outings, and pool parties with a close group of friends. They recently moved to The Courtyards at Linden Pointe where they also met a community of new friends. Roberta had many creative, artistic, and musical talents and was an avid gardener who delighted in her colourful flowers and plants.
She was a passionate volunteer donating her time and energy to many organizations and causes, including the Winnipeg Art Gallery, Assiniboine Park Conservatory along with St. Timothy's Catholic Church and St. Theresa Church where she was a dedicated member of the choir. We will dearly miss Roberta's caring nature, warm smile, vibrant energy, and resilient positivity. The loss of her supportive, generous, and reassuring presence will be felt in the lives of her family and many friends.
Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life along with interment will happen during the summer.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her name can be made to the CancerCare Manitoba Foundation, the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice.

We have lost one of the few “sparks” we were so fortunate to know here in residence. - Posted by: Lorene Chambers (Cousin and fellow resident of Courtyards with Roberta) on: Jan 30, 2023

Roberta was one of a pack of lively girls at Vincent Massey Collegiate in baby boom era. We were all full of optimism and vinegar, gossiping in the bathroom and halls, and giving the teachers a hard time (Nicely).. It was a lively childhood and one where Roberta’s personality stood out for me. She was always a friendly, smiling face. We hadn’t kept in touch, but I am sure those close to her will miss her sorely! - Posted by: Patti Johnson (High school friend) on: Jan 29, 2023
