WILLIAM (BILL) RUDACHEK
May 14, 1940 - January 26, 2023
William (Bill) Rudachek, born May 14, 1940 in Winnipeg, passed away suddenly at Kildonan Long Term Care Home on January 26, 2023 at the age of 82.
Bill will be remembered and missed dearly by his daughters, Christine Rudachek (Brian), Michelle Rudachek (Tom); his grandchildren, Ximena, Danica, Kirby, Kasper, Melina and AJ; and his great-granddaughter Kitana. He was predeceased by his father Michael Rudachek, his mother Anna (Kowalyszyn) Rudachek, his brother John Rudachek and his cousin Roy Rudachek.
Bill grew up in Winnipeg and spent much of his life in the Garden City area. He attended Red River College and spent the majority of his working life as an electrician and handyman - he would proudly point out to his daughters all the buildings in the city that he worked on. He could always be counted on to do electrical and handy work for his friends and family members. His love of trains took him to Gooch's Hobbies where he made good friends and spent a great deal of time. He was also one of the early members of WinNtrak Model Railway Group and enjoyed setting up the modular tracks at shopping malls and events around the city. He enjoyed some travel through Canada and the US, often to train shows. He could usually be found puttering around his home, in the garden or the tool shed fixing things. Bill was a loving father who made sure his children never wanted for anything and always encouraged them to follow their dreams. He leaves them with the memory of a quiet, sometimes stubborn man, who was always ready for a laugh, had a mischievous twinkle in his eye, and who would do anything for them.
We love you and miss you Dad -
see you later alligator.
