ANN NIMCHUK
Peacefully on February 1, 2023, at the age of 95, Ann Nimchuk (Popovich) passed away at the Victoria Hospital.
Ann was predeceased by her husband Henry in 2003. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Bonny (Mark), Ken (Lauran); grandchildren, Andrea (Troy), Scott (Chris), Kyle, Kelsey (Tyson), Ryan (Laura), and great-grandchildren, Axten, Dominic, Wesley, Nash, Ruby, Ashton. Ann will be missed by her very special niece Cheryl who was like a daughter to her Aunty Ann, and Wendy, Dave, Carol who embraced her in their lives always. Also Larry who was always there with a helping hand.
Ann grew up in Cooks Creek where she met her dear Henry and they married. Ann and Henry settled with their children in Garden City where they shared their generous hearts with all their family and friends, hosting the best pool parties and bbq's. Mom never had an empty fridge; full of ice cream treats, the best home made cookies and baking and all the junk food and goodies you could ever wish for. Her heart was full as she watched her grandchildren frolic in her backyard pool having so much fun and excitement and listening to their laughter. Most of all, her family was her joy and life achievement. After Henry passed Ann moved to Lindenwood Manor where she made many friends. Thank you to all the wonderful staff at Lindenwood Manor Assisted Living for all your care and friendship you gave Ann over the past 20 years. A special thank you to Kyle and Cheryl for being there during these last few months and holding Ann's hands and heart along the way.
In honouring Ann's wishes there will be no formal service.
You had a good ride GMa
You made us laugh and you made us cry
and your memories will keep us smiling forever

We moved into the Garden City neighbourhood in the early nineties. We were greeted by the Nimchuks who lived across the street. Ann brought over a plate of cookies for my children then aged 7 and 9. They are now 38 and 40. We were invited to their pool and did visit on occasion. They were a wonderful couple. We missed them. Good memories.
