  • Val and I were neighbours to Jack and Shirley for over 40 years and were blessed by this friendship. We discussed the world problems (and solved them weekly), we helped each other with house renos (always on a budget) and shared many backyard moments. During this time, we met their caring and loving family. Jack seemed to live in "the moment" as he remembered his past but looked ahead - for the next bus trip perhaps? Late in 2022, he was excited about getting his first ever passport so he could make one more trip on the casino bus. Jack's fav line (as we were doing his garage roof or some hallway flooring) was 'Good Enough". Neil and Val Sander - Posted by: Neil and Val Sander (Neighbourhood friends ) on: Feb 16, 2023

  • I have many memories of both Uncle Jack and Auntie Shirley from my childhood with summer holidays in Tisdale to visits with them in Saskatoon. We also had such great times as an adults visiting the Addison family in Winnipeg. Those are memories I will always remember and cherish, Jack with his year round golf tree and Auntie Shirley always cooking up great meals for us. Great memories we will miss you both but always remember the fun we have. God be with you both. Love Brian and Jill - Posted by: Brian and Jill Holmes (Niece) on: Feb 14, 2023
