BERNARD (BERNIE) BAISAROWICZ
November 30, 1940 - February 6, 2023

With deep sadness we announce the passing of Bernard (Bernie) Baisarowicz on February 6, 2023.
He was predeceased by his loving wife Joyce, his parents, Frank and Eleanor, his brother Chris and his sisters, Ellen and Florene.
He will be lovingly remembered by his three daughters, Cathy, Monica (Ray) and Susan (Clayton); his grandchildren, Jessica (Tyler), Kevin (Andrea), Christopher (Dayoung), Amanda, Trevor (Stephanie), Emily; his great-grandson Owen; his sister Gladys and his brothers, Alvin, Ted (Donna) and Dennis (Vonnie).
Bernie served in the Air Force at an early age then went on to work for Canada Post for 35 years until his retirement in 2001.
Bernie married Joyce in 1973; he instantly became a dad and never looked back. He was a very loving, devoted husband and father who would do anything for his family.
It was a dream come true to buy the cottage at Albert Beach where Bernie found peace and contentment being close to nature. He loved his time there with Joyce and was thrilled when family arrived with a great meal. Spending time together playing sequence, monopoly, cribbage, and enjoying a nice cold beer were some of Bernie's favourites.
Bernie loved to travel; he enjoyed going to Las Vegas (especially going to play at Harrah's), Mexico, Cuba, and Grand Forks with his grandchildren.
Bernie enjoyed sports and could watch football or hockey games for hours at a time. He also had a love for music and took pride in playing his extensive record collection for others.
As per Bernie's wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers please donate to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada.
