Condolences & Memories (11 entries)

  • I met Daria thru her aunt, Lynne Smith, who was only one year older than Daria. Lynne and I were classmates st St. Mary’s Academy. My family had a cottage at Winnipeg Beach, and summers, Lynne and I would join the chaos at the Paskewitz cottage, on the lakefront. I was amazed at families who had 12 kids. After high school we all lost track of one another but I met Daria again when we both lived in River Heights and imagine my surprise when I started work as an R.N. At HSC And found Daria head of Occupational Health Dept. She had personality plus and it was a pleasure to be in her company. My condolences to her family. - Posted by: Jocelyn Preston - nee martens (Friend / fellow RN) on: Mar 08, 2023

  • Daria has been a beloved friend for Sixty-one years. We first met in High school and have worked to maintain a close relationship ever since. She was the Godmother of our first born and had developed a relationship with our eldest son on our trips to the D.R. She has also left a lasting impression on two of my granddaughters. They will always remember their special Zoo adventure with Daria. Daria and I had a special spiritual connection and I will miss that connection very much. She made me a better person and I am eternally grateful for having had her in my life. Rest in peace Daria. You will be truly missed.
