Passed away suddenly on Wednesday February 1, 2023, at the age of 66, Aileen Maude Andrews (nee Drummond), of Holland, MB.
Aileen leaves to mourn her passing, her sister Vera (Steve) Bjornson, brother Morris (Barb) Drummond, brother David (Janice) Drummond, sister-in-law Debbie Drummond, husband Harold Andrews and stepson Josiah Andrews.
She also leaves behind nieces and nephews Loren (Sheldon) Gurr, Corey (Larissa) Bjornson, Karyn Bjornson (Kevin), Daryl (Yvonne) Bjornson, Tanis (Lyle) Norrie, Melanie (Rob) Wall, Lloyd (Brae) Drummond, Mark (Chloe) Drummond, Lindsay (Scott) Hainsworth, Alex Drummond (Kristen), Lonna Drummond (Nick), Brooke Drummond (Dillon), and 23 great-nieces and nephews, as well as close cousins from the Walter Drummond Family.
Aileen was predeceased by her father Lorne, mother Gwen, brothers Lloyd and Robert (Bert) Drummond, nephew Bradley Drummond, and cousin Grant Drummond.
Aileen was born on July 15, 1956, the fifth of six children to Lorne and Gwen Drummond. Aileen began her schooling in the Camille School, then moved to Holland for the rest of her elementary schooling, and on to Treherne for high school. Aileen spent a large amount of her time in the workforce as a short order cook in Brandon. She visited family and friends in the Holland area as often as she could, and recently returned to her home town.
Aileenâs greatest interest and gift to all was her soprano voice and love of music. Growing up as a member of Myrtle Youngs Holland United Church Choir, Aileen would often return to add her voice to the choir Christmas Eve. She participated in the Tiger Hills Music Festival for many years and won the coveted Rose Bowl in 1975. Aileen co-starred in the high school musicals of Fiddler on The Roof, My Fair Lady, and The Boyfriend. She sang at friends and family's weddings and other celebrations. Her musical gifts will be missed.
Funeral services at the Holland United Church followed by interment at Brookdale Cemetery will be held at a later date in April. If family and friends so desire, memorial donations can be made to the Holland United Church, Box 191 or the Holland Community Foundation, Box 87, Holland, MB R0G 0X0.
