RUBY JOY DOERKSEN
Ruby Joy Doerksen passed away in Chilliwack, B.C. in a car accident on January 31, 2023 at the age of 59. She was born on April 28, 1963 to John and Freda Derksen of Arnold, British Columbia and was the youngest of six children.
She was the beloved wife of Kenneth Doerksen, and together they had eight children. She will be greatly missed, but she is now resting in the arms of Jesus.
Ruby was predeceased by her parents, John and Freda Derksen and her sister, Lois. She is survived by her husband, Ken, her children: Jessica (Guy) and their children, Drusilla, Orlanna, and Elisha; Christopher (Jerusha) and their children, Selah and Hannah; Joshua; Rebecca; Johannes; Nathanael; Jonathan; and Priscilla. She is also survived by one brother, Harold, and three sisters, Elaine, Ruth, and Daphne and their families as well as many other extended family members and friends.
A viewing will be held at Woodlawn Funeral Home in Chilliwack on February 15 from 7:00-8:30 p.m. A funeral service will be held for her at Clearbrook Mennonite Brethren Church on February 16 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Bearing Precious Seed Canada.
