• I’d like to pass along my condolences. As a long time neighbour on prince rupert, my dad and Mr Kuhnel became great friends. So many memories of those two off to the casino or making a brew. • One of a kind. It was an honor to be the nephew of such a gentle man. Uncle Chris was a part of my life for sixty years and in all that time he was always someone who I looked up to. Although he hardly talked about his time before coming to Canada he was proud to be Canadian. From all the good times at the lake when I was growing up, to the support he gave to me when I played hockey he was a prince of a man. Always seemed to be happy. Never did I see him angry as that wasn't his nature. I remember one time when we were coming home from the lake and I wanted to ride back with him and auntie Annette, well I was sitting in his car a Plymouth Valiant and was pretending to drive. In doing so I flooded the engine back in the day of carbureted engines, well I thought that he was going to make me walk back to Winnipeg as my parents Herbie & Alice had already left. There were no cell phone or anything like that to let them know what I had done. Once we got going and returned home Uncle Chris never said a word to mom and dad. He was that kind of a guy. There are hundred of memories that we all have of him, but the most important one is how much he loved his family. Rest in Peace uncle Chris.
