ELAINE FAYE FALK
It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of our beloved wife and mother, Elaine Faye Falk. Elaine passed away on Monday, February 13, 2023, with her husband, children, and grandchildren by her side.
Elaine is survived by her devoted husband of 57 years, Jake, children, James and Nancy (Elliott), sisters, Tidge (Jack) and Linda (Harvey), sister-in-law Diane, grandchildren, Isla and Rhaina, and dozens of nieces, nephews, and cousins, each of whom she maintained a special relationship with. She was predeceased by her beloved son Robbie, parents, John and Musa, and brother Travis.
She was born August 18, 1944, in Tisdale, SK, spending her youth in the Interlake, first in Hodgson and then Warren, MB. At 15 she moved to Prince Albert, SK. She returned to Manitoba where she married Jacob Falk in 1965, raising a family in the Crestview area.
Elaine had a lifelong love of literature, amassing a huge library of biographies and poetry. This enthusiasm was only surpassed by her passion of music. She enjoyed "the beautiful game" and rarely missed a World Cup match. She had the greenest thumb of anyone we knew, keeping a meticulous garden. She dearly loved her Westie "Maggie."
As one of Jehovah's Witnesses, Elaine had a strong faith in the Bible's promise of resurrection. Her family treasures the hope we shared that we will be reunited with her soon when "the last enemy, death, is to be brought to nothing." (1 Corinthians 15:26) A devoted wife, a loving mother and grandmother, she will be dearly missed by all whose lives she touched.
