BRIDGET ANNE MCCORMICK

Bridget Anne McCormick died February 15, 2023, with children, Barbara, Sean (Luther), and Michelle Burkowski by her side.
Born in Montreal on November 9, 1947, she is survived by brother Bruce; and nieces and nephews for whom she cared deeply. She was predeceased by parents, Patricia and Evan McCormick; sister Joyce; and brothers, Ian and Rod.
Bridget's life was dedicated to her children's achievements. She exemplified life with gratitude, faith, and love for friends welcomed into her home and cherished her lifelong Brewster Bay and Transcona Pipe Band families. Recently, she enjoyed Fred Douglas Place's dinner crowd and volunteering with HOPE International.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 25, 2023, in the Parish of St. Bernadette, 820 Cottonwood Road. In the meantime, Bridget's family kindly requests that her friends and relatives take a few minutes to honour her memory by visiting her tribute page at EthicalDeathCare.com. A photo-biography, as well as memories and stories published by those who knew her are available there.

Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • I met Bridget many years ago through our mutual friend Tanis. Our times together were always full of laughter and good conversation. She was a real and solid soul, one I never tired of and it is with deep regret to send my sincerest condolences to her dear family. - Posted by: Carol DeLuca (Friend) on: Feb 25, 2023

  • While I only knew Bridget for the last half dozen years, I appreciated her contributions and input at the board meetings of International Hope Canada. Her thoughtful and intelligent guidance as a board member will be missed. And thank you to her family members that assisted her in continuing to attend in-person board meetings these last few months. - Posted by: Kevin Stewart (Colleague) on: Feb 25, 2023
