MAUREEN KOBLANSKI
July 30, 1941 – February 7, 2023
Maureen Koblanski (née Bukoski) passed away peacefully on February 7, 2023, after a long illness, with family and friends always by her side. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 60 years, Robert (Bob) in 2020; as well as her father George; mother Irene; and siblings, David and Rick.
Maureen leaves to mourn her children, Kristen Lynch (Gerry), Colin, Joel (Glenda), Dale (Chad), and Jamie (Audrey); grandchildren, Riley, Riel, Marina, and Kara; great-grandchildren, Connor, Reya, and DeVera; dear sisters, Lynda Pisa (Frank) and Dianne Frost (Brian); brother Norman Bukoski (Barb); and numerous friends and extended family.
Maureen held a wide range of jobs including secretary roles at Monarch Life and Prince Edward and Lord Wolseley Schools; and as bookkeeper/receptionist at Metwood Industries. Maureen was a past President/board member for St. Alphonsus CWL, Holy Redeemer CWL and St. Boniface Diocesan High School.
We are so grateful for the nurses, healthcare aides, staff and doctors of Riverview Healthcare Centre 2West and the welcoming environment of care, respect and compassion you created for our little Maureen, supporting us all during her final months. Thank you also to the healthcare teams at Concordia Hospital and CancerCare Manitoba.
Maureen, your active interest and presence in all our lives will forever be missed. We wish you joy and peace on your journey.

Dear Frank and Lynda I am truly saddened to hear of the death of your sister Maureen. I had the privilege of working with Maureen at MB Finance helping seniors and others preparing their tax returns. We got to know each other over coffee breaks, rides home and coffee at her house where she always had a little something extra for my kids. She was a lovely, kind and caring person and friend. Our sincere condolences to Maureen's family from the Rumls. The Koblanskis were very close friends of our parents. We were neighbors on Byars Bay in East Kildonan. There were lots of get togethers and we had lots of fun hanging out during that time. The connections continued even after my family moved to Texas. Maureen and I got closer volunteering together running the Young Program at St Alphonsus Church. She was incredibly kind and caring. She had a fun loving attitude. She will be missed. Our sincere condolences to Maureen’s family and dear friends. Maureen was a very active and loyal Member of our Holy Redeemer Parish Ladies Auxiliary for many years. Her quick wit and deep faith were admired by many. She was very instrumental in our fundraising efforts for our Parish. Even having Jamie involved in preparing our annual fall suppers for a number of years! In more recent years when she could no longer actively participate she was a very generous donor.
