GLENN PATRICK DAVIS
April 5, 1957 - February 21, 2023
After a difficult struggle with cancer, Glenn left this world, peacefully and at home.
Family and friends gathered to say their goodbyes, make him laugh a little and send him on his way just as he requested.
Glenn is survived by his sons, Leland (Charlee Cabral) and Morgan (Samantha Spade); their mother Laura Sancan Davis and their extended families.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, March 2, 2023 at Winakwa Community Center Main Hall, 980 Winakwa Road, Winnipeg at 1:00 p.m. A reception will follow.
Glenn was a life long competitive swimmer and a member of MMAC where he coached and was on the board throughout the last 30 plus years. He was also a lifeguard in his early years.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Ready Set Swim program that teaches children and newcomers to swim https://readysetswim.org/

Glenn was my instructor in 2018. I enjoyed his classes and sense of humour. The last time I saw him was in October 2021. He was having lunch with his friend, and I decided not to disturb them. If I only knew that day. I would tell him how amazing he was. My condolences to Glenn's family. - Posted by: Valeriy Bolgarov (Student) on: Feb 28, 2023

I met Glenn when I started working at Xerox in 1989. We again worked together when he joined RRC. One could always count on Glenn when wit was needed to either ease tension or maybe fan a flame. We became closer friends over the last year and I will miss the opportunity to grow that friendship further. - Posted by: Maria Vincenten (Friend and colleague) on: Feb 28, 2023

…”originality is undetected plagiarism” (Glenn Davis 1978) :) Glenn you are one of the most honest people I have ever known…always original, even in a quote. Friend, teammate, fellow traveller and witness to all the good times we shared. You always knew how to say the perfect wrong thing at exactly the right time…in doing so you brought light into the dark. Your smile opened our hearts, your laugh brought us to tears and the memory of you is a gift we will cherish…forever. - Posted by: Jim Steeves (Friend) on: Feb 27, 2023

So sorry for the loss of Glenn. My heart goes out to the family. Glenn was one of a kind, always happy, high spirited and ready to entertain a group of people at every social function. If you look up extrovert in the dictionary, it may say his name. You will be missed my friend. - Posted by: Susan (Friend) on: Feb 27, 2023

I swam with Glen on St. Vital Dolphin swim team. Glen would always entertain us with his daily early morning monologues with his Johnny Carson like jokes and other comedians he liked (George Carlan) and others. Glen always kept us laughing. I just talked to him during Covid and we planned to get together soon. I had thought of calling him only a week ago. Now today I heard of his passing. You will be missed my friend. God Bless you Glen - Posted by: John Breadner (fellow st vital dolphin swimmer ) on: Feb 27, 2023

I met Glenn through a common friend. We would meet up around the 28th of February at the Fort Garry, along with many of Glenn's longtime friends. It didn't take long to like Glenn's quirkiness and ability to make us laugh. A good hearted person, you just knew that he loved his passions and lived a full life. Even up to the end..so here's to you in Heaven , Glenn. - Posted by: Laurie Gyde (friend of a friend) on: Feb 25, 2023
