AMBER ALISA BOLE
A new star entered the galaxy on February 24, 2023 when Amber Bole's spirit joined Cyberspace after a brief illness.
Amber will be greatly missed by her loving parents, Mary and Jim Bole; her brother J.J. (John James); sister-in-law Stacey; nephew James - he will need a new Lego designer and assistance reimaging the Harry Potter and Star Wars fantasies; aunts and uncles who will miss her love and care, Billy and Belle Kovach from Alberta, Marg Clair from Saskatchewan, Bob Bole and Jean Walsh from The Barbados and Quebec; great aunt Rena Marcolin from Toronto, ON; along with numerous relatives and friends. Her cousins will miss her humour and snarky Facebook post. Luddites everywhere may never get their computers rebooted or webpages redesigned/
Amber was educated in Vienna, Austria, Lethbridge, AB, Burnaby, BC, Morden and Winnipeg MB. She had excellent training at the U of M Computer Science Co-op program, leading to a successful career in IT with IBM.
Amber recently stated she was excited about her new adventure and would check in from time to time to ensure we were all having fun.
Amber appreciated the love and best wishes from her craft buddies at the Burr House Spinners and Weavers Guild in Richmond Hills, ON. Her co-workers and friends at IBM, Markham ON, have been generous with their praise, prayers and assistance during her illness. She was fortunate to have a world full of great friends (real and virtual).
Amber and her family were appreciative of the exceptional heath care she received from Concordia Hospital, Health Science Centre, CancerCare Manitoba. St. Boniface Palliative Care Unit made her final weeks comfortable.
Amber helped plan a simple family ceremony in the Rockies for this summer.

Mary, Jim and family - I am very very sorry to hear about Amber. (Mary and I volunteered for years together at the Manitoba Genealogy Society and Amber was a big help with some projects.) - Posted by: Jayne Paradis (MGS friend of Mary) on: Apr 17, 2023
Dear Mary, Jim, JJ, Stacey & James. Words cannot describe the intensely painful, sudden journey you all had to experience together. Amber was very graceful and brave dealing with such an unexpected end to her lovely, compassionate life. Her memory will live on in all of us who had the pleasure to know her. Our deepest condolences to you all. Heather & Jim Smith, Nanaimo, BC. - Posted by: Heather & Jim Smith (Family friends) on: Mar 18, 2023

I was deeply saddened when I heard the tragic news of Amber's passing. I will always remember Amber's spark - she was always able to bring a smile to anyone's face in nearly any situation. I'm grateful for all the memories we shared of Winnipeg, the Harry Potter fandom, the Oscar competitions, and the moments we spent both at IBM and outside with shared friends. Rest in peace Amber, you will always be remembered and missed. - Posted by: Ian Hakes (Friend) on: Feb 28, 2023
Our deepest condolences to all the family. Although we only met Amber once, she was our link to Auntie Rena when needed, her bonafide computer tech, and the reason we are able to stay in touch. We appreciate everything she did for Auntie Rena and she will be dearly missed. With our sympathy, Barb and Jim - Posted by: Barb and Jim Marcolin (Second cousin) on: Feb 28, 2023

You're still in my thoughts and prayers as you continue dealing with this. I know it's a small relief to know her suffering has ended, but you will all miss her terribly. Keep her with you in the many memories which have been created over the years. I'm honoured to have met her at your place years ago and won't forget her! - Posted by: Pat Allan (friend (MGS)) on: Feb 25, 2023

Dear Jim and Mary. I am terribly sorry to hear of your loss. I remember Amber during her coop training period. She was such a nice person, willing to help anyone who did not understand computers. She always was smiling, and quick with a joke. Our thoughts and prayers are with you, Amber and your family. - Posted by: James and Kathryn Menzies (Friend) on: Feb 25, 2023
