EILEEN ROSEMARY BLACKMORE
(THOMSON)

It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Eileen Rosemary Blackmore. Eileen passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2023, at the St. Boniface Hospital surrounded by love with her children at her bedside. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and support staff for all their care during the last months of her life.
She is survived by her children, Cheryl (Scott), Ken (Amy) and Patti (Brian); eight grandchildren: Holly, Kara, Nicole, and Troy; Christopher and Thomas; Michael and Melanie; and 11 great-grandchildren. Also left to mourn are sisters, Brenda (Gary) and Jan. She will be greatly missed by numerous other relatives and close friends.
She was predeceased by her father Roy Knott, and mother and father Evelyn and Ian (Johnny) Thomson.
Eileen was born in Toronto, Ontario on August 3, 1943, and moved to Winnipeg with her young family in 1974. Eileen worked as a para-legal before she joined her former husband and friend Dave in 1979, and worked with her children and son-in-law, to develop Dave's Quick Print. She continued her career with Dave's Quick Print until she sold the business in 2007.
She enjoyed sports and was an excellent softball player, bowler and, as a long-time member of Breezy Bend Country Club, was an avid golfer. Mom also loved swimming in her pool, reading in the backyard, playing cards and any kind of game. She loved watching her grandchildren and greatgrandchildren's sporting events. Mom was very competitive!
When the weather warms up, we will plan a Celebration of Life in honour of Mom's life.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Eileen's memory may be made to CancerCare MB.
