IRENE SALTNER
May 25, 1930 – February 26, 2023

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Irene Saltner (Koterla) on Sunday, February 26, 2023, at the age of 92.
Irene was a very proud woman, devoted to her family and always helping family, friends and neighbours. She loved being in the kitchen cooking up a storm, whether it was pancakes for the grandchildren or perogies for the family. She loved listening to Polka music and dancing the night away. She enjoyed long drives with her husband and spending quality time with the ones she loved.
She is lovingly remembered by her husband Gordan; sister Evelyn; daughter Michelle; grandchildren, Alan, Kevin (Chloe), Corissa (Jordan) and Tyler (Laura); son-in-law Dennis and great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her daughters, Rhonda and Kelly; parents, George and Mary; three siblings, Henry, Noreen and Ernie; and brothers-in-law, Bill and Frank.

  • So sorry to hear of Mrs. Saltner’s passing. She was a neighbor of ours for so many years while I grew up in Manitoba. And yes, she was a great cook I believe teaching my mother how to make perogies and cabbage roles. Our condolences to Michelle, Mr. Saltner and the families.
